Master Formation Pools and Spas – Permits

Master Formation Pools and Spas – Permits

PERMITS AND APPROVALS
Most permits are obtained from the city or county in which you are building your pool. We contact your permit office for the specific details of their needs. We will also need to contact your homeowner's association, if you have one, to find out what restrictions are in force. We will get the approval in writing. "Irrational" or "unreasonable" are two of the kinder adjectives that have been known to be paired, on occasion, with the phrase "homeowner's association". That is why we have hired a law firm that has extensive experience with homeowner's associations.

CONSTRUCTION PLAN
We create construction plans identifying elevations, utilities and other variables unique to your yard. We obtain the necessary certified engineer drawings in some areas where permits are required.

We provide a Pre-Excavation Checklist to each client that includes 5 main areas of interest:

  1. Swimming Pool Location
  2. Access to Construction Area
  3. Equipment Location
  4. Electric Run Checks
  5. Gas Line Checks

Most of these will be checked by your local utility coordinating committee at no charge, but by pre-arranged appointment. Lines will be marked within 72 hours after placing the call.
